Senator Robyn Kennedy, born and raised in Worcester, MA, serves as the State Senator of the First Worcester District with a specific focus on the care economy, from childcare to elder care, investing in our workforce, improving regional public transportation, and reducing the gap on racial and health inequities. She most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at the YWCA Central MA. She has also previously served as the Deputy Chief of Staff to former Lt. Ronald B. Waddell Jr. is a multifaceted individual with impressive qualifications and accomplishments. He is a devoted father and holds certifications as a transformational life coach, Gang Specialist, and Youth Mental Health Specialist. Ronald is a Recovery Coach with a Nonprofit Management and Leadership certificate from Boston University.
Ron is the founder of Legendary Legacies Inc. (LL), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young men aged 17 and above, focusing on those identified as high-risk or deeply involved in gangs. Under his leadership, LL has become an integral part of the Worcester community, expanding from a two-person team to a staff of nine. Their initial budget of $60,000.00 has grown to over $1 million annually in just three years.
Ronald’s outstanding contributions have garnered recognition, including the Worcester Business Journal’s 40 under 40 award in 2021 and the Power 50 recognition 2022. He also received the prestigious Black Excellence on the Hill award in 2020. His visionary leadership has led him to serve on various local and statewide boards and initiatives, including the Worcester Education Collaborative, Greater Worcester Community Foundation, The Racial Equity Advisory Board for the Office of Young Adult and Youth Addictions Services, and the MA State Community Reinvestment Board.
Pastor Monica Aryitey is the co-Pastor Faith Fellowship, a 501(c) 3 religious organization in Worcester, MA. Monica co-founded Faith Fellowship with her husband some 15 years ago. Pastor Monica graduated from the Ghana Law School and holds a Master’s Degree in Law from McGill University. Currently, she focuses solely on building Faith Fellowship, which is committed to disciplining Christians and raising a new crop of leaders in the Worcester Community and beyond.
Pastor Monica's passion is empowering women and seeing them succeed in their calling, vocation, career, and business, regardless of their ages, backgrounds, or educational levels. Pastor Monica does this through mentoring, counseling, and spiritual support.
In Faith Fellowship, Pastor Monica preaches, teaches, and offers counseling services. Pastor Monica is also the head of the women's ministry, spearheading women's retreats and annual women's conferences attended by Women from local churches and beyond.
Pastor Monica also serves as an officer on the Church Board and a Worcester Business Development Corporation director.
Peter Dunn was appointed Chief Development Officer for the City of Worcester in 2020 and has served the City for the last 10 years in various capacities. As Chief Development Officer, he leads the divisions of Business Development, Housing Development, Neighborhood Development, Workforce Development, Planning & Regulatory Services, and Special Projects. Peter also serves as the Chief Executive Officer for the Worcester Redevelopment Authority, which carried out the construction of Polar Park in addition to owning and operating Union Station.
Peter participated in the Leadership Worcester program in 2017 and has been involved in the curriculum annually. Peter also currently serves on the board of the Latin American Business Organization. He previously served as a board member of the Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District, Special Olympics Massachusetts, the Alumni Board of Roger Williams University, the American Heart Association, and the advisory committee for the Be Like Brit Foundation.
Dr. Sheri-ann is the Founder and CEO of McLean Coaching and Consulting, LLC. She was born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica. One of her many passions is to help people be the best version of themselves. Dr. Sheri-ann always believes that there is something out there for everyone; we just, at times, need a little guidance to get there. With over eight years of leadership experience, she has consulted, facilitated training for educators in inner-city neighborhoods, capacity-building trainer for at-risk communities, led teams through change, implemented stabilization plans in programs, trained in the leadership institute, and built a sense of community in the workplace.
Dr. Sheri-ann is a Maxwell Leadership Certified Team Member, certified Master Life Coach, and a DISC Consultant. She is also a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success. Dr. Sheri-ann has been recognized for her leadership skills, including the exceptional leadership skills award and dedication to Cluster 2 on the Rex Nettleford Hall, University Of the West Indies in 2011, and the Tall-Tee self-achievement award in 2012. In 2019, she was recognized in an article for building a sense of community and was awarded Todays Honoree on April 1st, 2019. She was also awarded the Devereux Massachusetts Systems thinker award and was a 2020 Devereux Leadership Class member. Most recently, she received the Devereux Supervisory Excellence Award in 2021.
Dr. Sheri-ann enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, singing, dancing, reading, and writing books and poetry in her free time.
Her favorite saying is, "The best is yet to come."
